CFC Bury Saints U18 0 AFC Sudbury U18 Tigers 2
AFC started brightly, passing the ball well and bringing in the width with good diagonal balls. Several chances came and went before Jake Jackson picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box and hit a goal bound shot, which was deflected over the keeper and in. The pressure was all Sudbury and wide men Jack Hubbard and Luke Nicoll saw plenty of action, both supplied well by full backs Scott Bayly and Harry Payne. The second came from Nicoll as he stole the ball in midfield, rode a couple of challanges and slotted nicely under the keeper. Sudbury defended well and when called upon keeper Tracey was alert and untroubled.
The second half saw the home side change their tactics and they got on the front foot from the off, chances were made, but again the AFC defence and keeper were equal to it. Up front for AFC, Brandon New was a constant nuisance to the home sides back four, as he chased and harried in a very hard working display. No further goals were scored, but AFC always looked in control and unlikely to conceed.
