About AFC Sudbury Grassroots
AFC Sudbury Grassroots is the Ladies and Youth section of AFC Sudbury who play in the Ryman Divison 1 North Based at the MEL Group Stadium, Ballingdon, Sudbury, the Grassroots has steadily grown over the last few years and achieved FA Charter Club status in 2009. Also in 2009 the club was awarded Charter Club of the year for Suffolk, followed by Regional Charter Club of the year. All these accolades are fanatasitc achievements, but more so given the very short period of time they took to achieve. For the season 2011/12 the club will continue its growth, with the expectation of 19 teams (plus Girls football) represented in the Colchester & District Youth League & Ipswich & Suffolk Youth Football League. The Ladies will represent the club in the Eastern Region Womens League and Girls football has also now been brought to the club. The age groups currently represented at the club for the season 2011/12 are Under 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 and the Ladies.
